Now, both Alison and I only knew ourselves as Flag Girls...a big buncha flaggers..hahaha - although I specifically remember at flag camp (yes, there was CAMP! full of psycho wanna-be-professional flaggers) all the serious ones referred to themselves as part of "the colorguard". We were just flaggers...the ones from a small town with only a few team members. The ones who used to ditch flag practice for coffee and donuts during school hours. The ones who ended up wreaking havoc in the halls of the Santa Clara dorms having SHAVING CREAM FIGHTS...oh man, that was a blast. Now that I think about it - I'm pretty sure there is a picture of all of us covered in shaving cream somewhere in the yearbook. HA!
Anyway - only for Joanna (because dude, this was FOURTEEN years ago) I am posting proof that I once wore a lame sparkly outfit and tossed a flag around on a football field and in parades. By the way, the sparkles nicely matched all the sparkly silver BRACES on my teeth. Nevermind the bad hair...this was a picture from Junior Year, the only color picture I could find that would show the actual outfits. ( I graciously cropped out my fellow teammates)
and this is a scan out of our senior yearbook in black and white - Alison top right - myself lower right.
Damn we were stylin - and holy crap was my hair long! So there you go Joanna - way back Tuesday :) hee!

Niiiicccee!!!!!! O'kay really, I'm lovin' your photos...sparkles and all...
Really, you should add 'way back tuesday' to your blog...surely your dear hubby was involved in some school sports, no?
I give you high props for accepting the dare and raising it a level.
Flag girls, huh? We never called ourselves that. We had about 20 girls on our guard and had weapons too (I'm pathetic I know...I did the sabers and the rifles..maybe I'll have to dig out some of those photos too). We even did wintergaurd....ahh those were some fun times...
I was *gasp* the captian my senior year (I know, that just raises the pathetic factor)
Thanks for posting!
Awesome pictures!!! Way to meet the double dog dare head on :-)
ohhhh love it :)
Awesome! I love the pictures! Both of your hair was super long! I know that sparkely uniform well.... I've seen it worn by many at camp thanks to Alison.
Can't believe you took the double dog dare! =)
